According to the city authorities, the work began on January 1, 2026, at the initiative of Mayor Aibek Junushaliev. A section of Chyngyz Aitmatov Avenue is temporarily closed from A. Masaliev Avenue to Semetey Street.
The project includes the construction of four underground pedestrian crossings along the section from Semetey Street to A. Masaliev Avenue, one of which is already operational. Additionally, 16 new bus stop complexes meeting modern standards will be installed on the stretch between Akhunbaev and Semetey Streets.
The mayor has instructed the relevant services to monitor the quality of the work and to complete the project on time. The work began during the holiday period to minimize inconvenience for residents and reduce the load on transportation.
