According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, heavy snowfall, fog, and ice are observed on the Bishkek–Osh highway near the Too-Ashuu pass. Conditions conducive to the formation of ice and difficulties in vehicle movement have also been recorded on the bypass routes of the Issyk-Ata and Kemin districts, as well as in mountainous areas.
In this regard, it is recommended to:
- Strictly adhere to established speed limits and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
- Avoid sharp maneuvers, sudden braking, and unnecessary overtaking.
- Thoroughly check the technical condition of the vehicle before departure, especially the brakes, lighting devices, and windshield wipers.
- If possible, postpone long trips and routes to mountainous areas until weather conditions improve.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region also urges pedestrians to be especially cautious when crossing the road, follow traffic rules, and use reflective elements during nighttime or in poor visibility conditions.
