Yuri Gorbenko, who heads one of the hunting teams of the Issyk-Kul regional public association of hunters and fishermen, reported that the hunt took place on January 24, 2026. On that day, the morning twilight over the lake and reeds created ideal conditions for the start of the hunt. "The recent snow clearly revealed the tracks of the jackals. We organized several drives and ultimately caught 7 jackals. One of our hunters named Alexander particularly stood out, as he killed two jackals with two precise shots," he shared.
