
At the World Championship among youth hockey teams of the third division (U-20 group), the Kyrgyzstan national team won gold, achieving victory in the tournament.
The competition took place in Bishkek from January 18 to 24, with six teams participating. The hockey players of Kyrgyzstan secured confident victories in all five games, successively defeating teams from Hong Kong (4:1), South Africa (7:2), Iran (15:1), Luxembourg (5:3), and Mexico (7:4).
Thus, the Kyrgyz athletes scored the maximum of 15 points and took first place in the overall standings, becoming world champions in division 3B.
Moreover, this victory guaranteed the Kyrgyzstan national team a promotion, and next season the team will compete in group A of the third division.
