According to information received from the Verkhovna Rada, the presidential elections in Ukraine may take place in the fall of 2026, while the parliamentary elections are expected in the spring of 2027. It is also suggested that these elections could occur without the cancellation of the current martial law, reports the publication "Insider," citing its sources.

Some leaders of parliamentary parties have already informed their regional representatives about the proposed election timelines: the presidential elections are set for the fall of 2026, and the parliamentary elections for the spring of 2027. The option of holding elections and campaigns amid the ongoing conflict, without lifting martial law, is being considered, as noted in the publication.

During this time, active personnel and political changes are observed in the Verkhovna Rada. Some deputies are working on creating new political projects aimed at the upcoming electoral cycle and potential demands for "military" or "post-war" leadership.

Earlier, as reported by the Financial Times, citing Ukrainian and European officials, Volodymyr Zelensky may announce plans for presidential elections and a referendum on a peace agreement on February 24.
