The state-owned JSC "Keremet Bank" has notified its clients about the discontinuation of its mobile application for individuals starting March 1, 2026. This announcement was confirmed by bank representatives in an interview with Kaktus.media.

To ensure uninterrupted access to services, the bank recommends that its clients install the "Elkart Mobile" application, which is part of the national payment system "Elkart." The use of this application does not impose restrictions on transactions, and activation requires only the registration procedure.

The "Elkart Mobile" application does not require clients to close their current accounts or reissue cards. It provides all the necessary functions for working with "Elkart" cards — the ability to view balances, transaction history, make payments and transfers, as well as pay for goods and services,” the bank added.

This decision was made in connection with the development of a new application that is currently in the creation stage.

It is worth noting that recently the countries of the European Union adopted the 19th package of sanctions against Russia, which includes measures against Russian banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, and related entities in India, China, and other countries. The sanctions list includes 22 individuals and 45 organizations from Russia, Hong Kong, China, India, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan. In particular, "Tolubay" and "Eurasian Savings Bank" were subjected to restrictions. Earlier, sanctions were also imposed against "Keremet" and "Capital" by the USA and the UK. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic stated that "the Kyrgyz Republic adheres to its international obligations and maintains an open dialogue with partners from the European Union to prevent circumvention of sanctions." Additionally, it was proposed to create a working group to address these issues.
