Valeria Minadirnova won the race in Almaty

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Valeria Minadirova, became the champion of the international race held in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

The Winter Run, which takes place annually, was held on February 15 and gathered around 2,500 participants. Among the runners were nine athletes from Kyrgyzstan.

Children under 15 years old covered a distance of 3 kilometers along one of the central streets of Almaty.

11-year-old Valeria finished first among girls with a time of 12 minutes 9 seconds, which allowed her to take second place in the overall standings, finishing just 8 seconds behind Alimzhan Abdikadirov from Kazakhstan.

Valeria's training takes place at the Jumanazarov Sports School under the guidance of the honored coach of Kyrgyzstan, Rimma Borisova.

In the summer of 2025, she wins the Summer Relay race in Almaty.

The adult participants of the race ran 10 kilometers. Ruslan Minadirov took 7th place in the overall standings and 3rd place in the 30-39 age category.
