The second ranking tournament of 2026, known as Muhamet Malo, will be held from February 25 to March 1 in the capital of Albania, Tirana.
Makhmudov represents the national team of Kyrgyzstan and will compete in the weight category up to 82 kg.
Recently, on February 13, he had a match at the SUPER 4 WRESTLING tournament, where he won against Bulgarian athlete Aik Mnatsakanyan with a score of 5:2.
The tournament in Albania will be only Makhmudov's second event after his successful performance at the Olympic Games in Paris, where he won a bronze medal.
Additionally, in November 2025, the Kyrgyz athlete won a gold medal at the Islamic Games held in Saudi Arabia.
