Athletes from Kyrgyzstan have completed their performances at the Winter Olympic Games held in Italy.

The team consisted of two athletes who represented the country in cross-country skiing and alpine skiing.

At the opening of the Olympics on February 7, the flag of Kyrgyzstan was raised by skier Artur Saparbekov.

He was the first of the Kyrgyz athletes to compete on February 10, participating in the sprint race in the classic style. A total of 95 athletes registered for this discipline, but only 94 started. Saparbekov finished in 94th place, trailing Norwegian Olympic champion Johannes Klæbo by 1 minute and 29.48 seconds.

On February 13, Artur took part in the 10 km freestyle race, which featured 113 participants.

In the first half of the race, the Kyrgyz athlete was among the leaders, but he fell at the eighth kilometer, which negatively affected his time. He finished with a result of 27 minutes and 46.9 seconds, placing 102nd overall. The Olympic champion in this distance was again Klæbo.

On February 14, alpine skier Timur Shakirov also made his Olympic debut. A total of 81 athletes registered for the giant slalom event.

In his first run, Timur finished in 67th place, and in the second run, he placed 62nd. His overall result allowed him to finish in 62nd place among the 69 athletes who managed to complete the race. The Olympic champion in this discipline was Brazilian Lucas Pinho Broten.

On February 16, the slalom competition took place, featuring 96 athletes. Due to poor weather conditions with visibility issues and snowfall, more than half of the participants were unable to finish the race.

Among those who could not finish were both Olympic champion Lucas Pinho Broten and Kyrgyz athlete Timur Shakirov.

Thus, the performances of Kyrgyz athletes at the Winter Olympics have come to an end.
