Winter Olympics: Timur Shakirov was unable to finish in his first attempt in the slalom

Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Timur Shakirov competed in the Winter Olympic Games taking place in Italy.

On February 16, medals were contested in the alpine skiing discipline of "slalom," with 96 athletes participating.

Shakirov started with number 84 but was unable to complete his run and exited the course.

At this point, more than half of the participants failed to finish their first run. Among them was the current Olympic champion from Brazil, Lucas Pinheiro Broten, who took first place in the giant slalom on February 14.

Thus, Timur Shakirov is out of the medal contention in slalom.
