Winter Olympics 2026: Kyrgyzstan will be represented by two athletes

At the upcoming XXV Winter Olympic Games, which will take place in Italy, Kyrgyzstan will be represented by two athletes.

The national team includes alpine skier Timur Shakirov, coached by Igor Borisov, and Artur Saparbekov, who specializes in cross-country skiing and trains under the guidance of Alexander Levdansky.

Artur Saparbekov will compete in Val di Fiemme, where he will participate in the classic style sprint and the 10-kilometer freestyle race.

Timur Shakirov will compete in the giant slalom and slalom at the Bormio resort.

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games are scheduled from February 6 to 22, while the Winter Paralympic Games will take place from March 6 to 15.
