In Bishkek, in the Sverdlovsk district, a sports festival for families called "Dad, Mom, and I — a Sports Family" took place on January 9. According to information from the press service of the city hall, the event features seven family teams, consisting of parents and children aged 7 to 15 years. The competitions cover seven different types of activities: the national game "Үч тапан чүкө," ball handling, a jump rope relay, a stick relay, tug-of-war, nail driving, and sack races. The results of the relay showed the following achievements:
1st place — the "Comet" team from MTU No. 301;
2nd place — the "Alga" team from MTU No. 302;
3rd place — the "Vostok" team from MTU No. 307.
The teams that took the prize-winning places received trophies, medals, and diplomas, as well as valuable gifts: a microwave oven for the winners, household appliances for the second place holders, and a Bluetooth speaker for the third place winners. The sports festival is held every year in all four districts of the capital. Based on the results of the district competitions, the best teams advance to the city stage, where they continue to compete for the championship. This event is organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek city hall.
