The preliminary qualification of the incident is suicide, the investigation is ongoing
On January 7, 2026, at around 11:00 AM, a call was received at the Bishkek City Police Department on the number "102," reporting a man with a gunshot wound. The call came from a domestic worker who noted that a pistol was found under the body of the owner.
A forensic investigative team was immediately dispatched. Upon arrival at the scene, the information was confirmed: a dead man was found in the kitchen of the house, identified as Z.K., born in 1967. A pistol of unknown make was seized from under the body.
"During the examination of the crime scene, it was established that the situation in the house had not been disturbed, and no signs of a struggle were found. Besides the gunshot wound, no other bodily injuries were found on the body. Considering the collected evidence, this incident is preliminarily classified as suicide," the official statement reports.
Currently, necessary examinations are being conducted, and all circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
