According to available data, the incident occurred today at around 15:25. Soldier A.A.N., born in 2007 and serving in the 5th guard battalion, was on duty at correctional facility No. 10 of the GSIN, located in the village of Bai-Munduz in the Bazar-Korgon district. For unknown reasons, he shot himself with his service weapon and died from his injuries at the scene.
The Deputy Chairman of the GSIN, Colonel Kurmanbek Sokeev, along with the heads of the relevant services, immediately went to the scene of the tragedy to organize operational and investigative activities. Officers from the Bazar-Korgon district police department and the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Jalal-Abad garrison also arrived.
The investigative operational group collected all necessary information regarding the incident. Currently, the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Jalal-Abad garrison is conducting pre-trial procedural actions.
