On December 29, the XXXIII Spartakiad for the teaching staff and employees concluded at Osh State University, during which the winners' award ceremony took place.
Teams representing the rectorate, institutes, faculties, and colleges participated in the competitions, divided into age groups: under 40 years and over 40 years. The Spartakiad took place on weekends in December, covering eight different sports: volleyball, basketball, football, mini-football, table tennis, toguz korgool, tug of war, and chess.
The results of the team standings were as follows:
1st place — Institute of Economics, Business and Management;
2nd place — STEM Innovative College;
3rd place — Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technologies.
The event was attended by Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov and Chairman of the Trade Union Committee Absamat Sattarov, as well as other university staff. The winning teams were awarded diplomas, cups, and cash prizes, with a total prize fund of 240,000 soms.
"This Spartakiad is held annually to promote the health of teachers, popularize sports, and develop friendly relations among staff," the official statement noted.
