In the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, held in Rabat, the Senegal national team achieved a tense victory over the Moroccan hosts with a score of 1:0 in extra time.

Pape Gueye scored the decisive goal, bringing Senegal its second African championship title in history. The match was filled with sharp moments, controversial situations, and a high emotional atmosphere, including a temporary exit of Senegalese players from the field at the end of the match.

After the final whistle, mass celebrations began across the country. In the capital Dakar, fans filled the streets, set off fireworks, sang songs, and danced, proudly waving national flags in honor of the "Lions of Teranga".

Senegal's President Macky Sall congratulated the team on their brilliant victory, noting their resilience and fighting spirit. He also announced a day off in honor of the celebration and promised material rewards for the players and coaching staff.

This victory firmly established Senegal's position as one of the leading football powers on the African continent, following their first triumph at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021.
