Nigeria and Egypt have completed the lineup of the semi-finalists for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.

The national teams of Nigeria and Egypt have confirmed their participation in the semifinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, joining Morocco and Senegal among the strongest teams.

The Nigerian team confidently reached the semifinals, defeating Algeria 2-0 at the Marrakech stadium. Victor Osimhen opened the scoring early in the second half and then assisted Akor Adams, who scored the second goal, securing the "Super Eagles" a place in the next round. Nigeria, the finalist of CAN-2023, will now fight for its fourth continental title against the tournament hosts — Morocco.

As for Egypt, they also made it to the semifinals with a tense 3-2 victory over the reigning champions, Ivory Coast, in Agadir. Omar Marmoush scored the opening goal in the third minute, followed by Rami Rabia doubling the lead. Early in the second half, Mohamed Salah scored the third goal, although the Ivorians tried to come back, the seven-time African champions managed to hold on to their winning result.

The semifinal matches will take place on Wednesday. Egypt will face Senegal in Tangier, while Nigeria will meet Morocco.
