The Moroccan national team has reached the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, securing victory in a tense semifinal against Nigeria. The match ended in a goalless draw after both regular and extra time — 0:0, and the fate of the final spot was decided by a penalty shootout.

In this decisive part of the game, the Moroccan team showcased better skill, winning 4:2. A key role was played by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, who brilliantly saved shots from Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi, giving his team the advantage.

Among the Moroccan players, accurate penalties were taken by El Aynaoui, Ben Segir, Achraf Hakimi, and Youssef En-Nesyri, who scored the decisive penalty. The only miss for the team came from Ighamane.

The Nigerian national team, in turn, managed to convert attempts from Paul Onuachu and Fisayo Deli-Bashiru, but the failures of Chukwueze and Onyemaechi prevented the "Super Eagles" from reaching the final.

In the decisive match of the tournament, Morocco will face the Senegal team, which eliminated Egypt in the first semifinal. Senegal is the reigning champion of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and is led by star Sadio Mané.
