According to the National Statistical Office (NSO), published on Tuesday, the volume of Mongolia's foreign trade in January 2026 reached $2.54 billion, which is 30.7% higher compared to the same period last year.
Exports in this month increased by 71.6%, amounting to $1.7 billion, while imports, on the contrary, decreased by 12.6% to $843 million.
The main factors for the growth in exports were the increase in shipments of copper, coal, unrefined and partially refined gold, as well as canned meat products from Mongolia abroad.
According to the statistical agency, in January, the landlocked country conducted trade with 105 countries around the world.
