The ceremony, which took place on February 18 at the square near the "April 25" House of Culture, gathered high-ranking guests, including the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong Un, as well as participants of the party congress, industry leaders, and defense enterprise workers.
According to the agency, over the past two months, 50 units of 600 mm caliber MLRS have been produced, which have now been put into service with the army. One of the leaders of the defense enterprise handed Kim Jong Un an official document regarding the transfer of these weapons.
In his address, the leader of the DPRK expressed gratitude to the workers of the defense industry and emphasized the importance of modernizing the country's defense capabilities, highlighting that the development of military potential is a key aspect of ensuring the state's security.
During the event, Kim Jong Un also awarded one of the leading defense enterprises the Order of Kim Il Sung for outstanding achievements in the field of defense industry modernization. He handed the relevant documents to the Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army and then inspected the transferred equipment.
According to the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (CTAK), after the ceremony, delegates of the congress and invited guests had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with new samples of weapons.
