
The ministry confirmed that among the deceased are: the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpour, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, Chief of the General Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi, and Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Defense Council.
In his statement, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed condolences over the loss of a group of brave commanders and fighters who fought for the safety and honor of Iran, as stated in the press release of the Iranian Foreign Ministry posted on Telegram.
On February 28 of this year, a military operation by the United States and Israel against Iran began, aimed at regime change, halting the nuclear program, and destroying Iran's missile capabilities and fleet. As a result of this operation, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed, and on March 1, the head of the IRGC was killed, after which Ahmad Vahidi became the new commander.
