The IRGC confirmed that among the targets of the strikes were 27 American bases, the Israeli airbase Tel Nof, as well as the headquarters of the Israeli armed forces in Tel Aviv and an important defense factory.

Iranian authorities accused the U.S. and Israel of conducting "consistent and regrettable" strikes, as quoted by Al Jazeera.

The Israel Defense Forces also reported attacks on Israeli territory, confirming the use of air defense systems.

AFP and Reuters correspondents recorded loud explosions in Dubai (UAE), Doha (Qatar), and Manama (Bahrain). In Dubai, preliminary reports indicated that the target of the strike was the airport.

Statement from U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagsit

"On Saturday night, at the direction of President Donald Trump, the Department of Defense began OPERATION EPIC FURY — the deadliest, most complex, and precise air operation in history.

The Iranian regime had the opportunity but chose to reject the agreement — now it will face the consequences. For nearly fifty years, Iran has deliberately targeted and killed Americans, seeking to acquire powerful weapons to implement its radical agenda. Last week, President Trump, unlike all his predecessors, began the fight against this 'cancerous tumor.'

We will not allow powerful missiles to threaten the American people. These missiles will be destroyed along with Iran's missile production. The Iranian navy will be obliterated. And, as President Trump has always emphasized, Iran will never obtain nuclear weapons.

The United States did not start this conflict, but we will end it. If you threaten Americans — as Iran has done — we will find you and destroy you.

Our military is the best in the world, and they have been given full authority to accomplish their missions. May God bless them in this important mission.”

The conflict has triggered a crisis in the oil market — Reuters.

The risk of tanker blockades in the Persian Gulf is increasing. Fears that vessels may become targets for attacks are growing, prompting producers, traders, and carriers to reconsider oil and LNG supply routes.

The scale of U.S. and Israeli attacks, along with Trump's rhetoric, indicates Washington's preparation for a prolonged military campaign. Even without considering the worst-case scenario, the conflict could already disrupt vital energy supplies from the Middle East.

Mass protests have begun in the city of Skardu in northern Pakistan. Hundreds of people took to the streets to express support for Iran and condemn U.S. actions. The situation spiraled out of control — an enraged crowd set fire to the UN representation building.

The UAE Ministry of Defense reported that on February 28, Iran launched over 137 missiles and 209 drones into the country. According to Al Jazeera, one person was killed, and seven were injured.

As a result of the Iranian missile strike on Tel Aviv on February 28, 40 buildings were damaged.

The newspaper Haaretz, citing city authorities, reports one death and numerous injuries.
