Journalists have confirmed the information regarding the deaths of high-ranking Iranian officials, including Defense Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani and the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Pakpour.
The incident took place on February 28 as a result of joint airstrikes organized by Israel and the United States. This was reported by both the Israel Defense Forces and U.S. President Donald Trump, who noted in an interview with ABC News that during the operation, "leaders" of Iran were "neutralized."
In response to these events, the IRGC announced its intention to take revenge on the United States and Israel for the assassination of the country's supreme leader and began preparations for "the most powerful offensive operation in the history of the Iranian Armed Forces."
