After the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, the temporary governance of the country has been entrusted to a special council, which will include President Masoud Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary, and a representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This information was reported by the IRNA agency, citing First Vice President Mohammad Mohber.

It is worth noting that Ali Khamenei was killed on February 28 as a result of a joint operation by the US and Israeli air forces, which carried out a strike on Tehran. His death was officially confirmed by Tehran the following day, after which a 40-day mourning period was declared in the country.

It was also confirmed that during the attack, the Secretary of the Iranian Defense Council, Ali Shamkhani, and the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Pakpour, were killed.
