The U.S. President added that this event represents justice not only for the Iranian people but also for all Americans, as well as for people from other countries who suffered from the actions of Khamenei and his supporters. “This is a unique opportunity for Iranians to take back their country,” he noted.
Trump expressed hope that “the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the police will be able to unite with Iranian patriots and work together to restore the greatness of the country.”
Additionally, he stated that “massive and targeted bombings will continue throughout the week or as long as necessary to achieve our goal — peace in the Middle East and ultimately in the whole world.”
The beginning of the attack by Israel and the U.S. on Iran was recorded on February 28, when numerous air and missile strikes were carried out on Iranian cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israeli and American military bases in several countries in the Middle East. In the first hours of the operation, several high-ranking Iranian officials and military personnel were killed. Shortly after the attacks began, Trump confirmed the start of a military operation called “Lion's Roar” in his statement.
