Iran attacks American facilities in the Persian Gulf

Iran has officially confirmed that its forces have struck several targets in the Persian Gulf. Among the targets were the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, Al-Salem in Kuwait, Al-Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates, as well as the U.S. Fifth Fleet base located in Bahrain, as reported by the news agency "Kazinform," citing the Iranian agency Fars.

The Qatari Ministry of Defense reported that their air defense forces successfully prevented several attacks on the territory of the state. The agency noted that all launched missiles were intercepted before they reached their targets.

However, AFP reports loud explosions heard in Doha, the capital of Qatar, shortly after the ministry's statement about the interceptions.

In light of the events, authorities closed the airspace, and Qatar Airways suspended all flights.

New explosions occurred in Bahrain's capital, Manama, following a missile attack on the area where American military bases are located. The Bahraini government described these attacks as "indecent" and stated that they threaten the sovereignty and security of the country.

Reports of explosions also came from Riyadh, where loud noises and a series of explosions were recorded against the backdrop of Iranian attacks on American facilities in the region.

Unfortunately, the strikes in the UAE resulted in one fatality, as confirmed by the local Ministry of Defense.

In Jordan, military authorities announced the interception of two ballistic missiles that were directed over the territory of the kingdom.

Earlier, Arab media reported loud explosions in Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE, claiming that Iran is responding to the joint actions of the U.S. and Israel against its country.
