Which global airlines have suspended flights to the Middle East

In light of the recent attacks by Israel and the USA on Iran, as well as the retaliatory actions from Tehran, many airlines have decided to temporarily suspend their flights to countries in the Persian Gulf region. According to Kazinform, citing the BBC, several major carriers have already announced their measures. For instance, Lufthansa has suspended all flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, and Oman until March 7, and is also temporarily avoiding the airspace of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran. Flights to Dubai have been canceled for this weekend.

Air France has also suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut, while KLM has done the same for Tel Aviv. The alliance had previously announced the cancellation of flights to Israel starting March 1, but in light of recent events, it was decided to cancel flights on Saturday as well.

British Airways has decided to halt flights to Tel Aviv and Bahrain until March 3.

WizzAir has also temporarily ceased flights to Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Amman until March 7.

Turkish Airlines has canceled flights to Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan until March 2 and has also canceled Saturday flights to Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE, and Oman.

Qatar Airways has suspended its flights from Doha due to the closure of the country's airspace.

Virgin Atlantic has also canceled a flight from London to Dubai scheduled for Saturday.

Japan Airlines canceled a flight to Doha on the same day.

Swiss Air has suspended flights to Tel Aviv until March 7, and to Dubai for this weekend.

Iberia Express has also canceled a flight to Tel Aviv that was supposed to take place on Saturday.

Air India has suspended all flights to the Middle East, including destinations to Tel Aviv, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

It is worth noting that Kazakhstan has imposed a complete ban on flights over and near the airspace of Iran, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
