On Wednesday, Turkish Airlines announced the suspension of more than 60 flights due to heavy snowfall in several Turkish cities. As clarified by the official representative of the airline, Yahya Ustun, 61 flights scheduled for December 31 have been canceled due to deteriorating weather conditions in the eastern and central regions of the country.

Since Friday, significant parts of Turkey have been experiencing frosts caused by cold air flows from Russia and Iceland. The Turkish General Directorate of Meteorology has also issued a yellow warning for Wednesday for most of the country's territory due to heavy snowfall.
