The CAT III system will enable aircraft to land and take off even in heavy fog and poor visibility, which will substantially reduce the number of flight cancellations and delays, as well as increase the reliability of air travel.
The installation of new light signaling equipment is being carried out in accordance with international civil aviation standards and is part of a comprehensive modernization of the "Manas" airport infrastructure.
However, the airport emphasizes that the final decision on landing is made by the aircraft's crew, based on current weather conditions and the technical characteristics of the aircraft.
