Iran has also reported an increased state of combat readiness of its Aerospace Forces of the IRGC and air defense systems.

Amid discussions about possible military actions against Iran by U.S. President Donald Trump, who has expressed concern over the brutal repression of anti-government protests, the Pentagon is taking steps to reduce the number of American troops at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

According to CBS, this move is a preventive measure.

Al Udeid is one of the key military bases of the United States in the Middle East, where about 10,000 military and civilian personnel are permanently stationed.

Iranian authorities threaten to respond to attacks on their military facilities in the region in case of aggression from the U.S.

According to BBC reports, part of the British military contingent is also leaving Al Udeid Air Base.

Meanwhile, the UK has decided to temporarily close its embassy in Tehran, which will now operate remotely.

According to a British government representative, the ambassador and embassy staff were evacuated due to the assessment of the current situation and the priority of personnel safety.

This week, Trump stated that the U.S. would act "very tough" in response to possible executions of protesters in Iran.

On Wednesday, he noted that according to information from his administration, "killings in Iran are stopping, and there are no plans for executions."

In response to a journalist's question, Trump added that the information came from "very important sources" and expressed hope that it was accurate.

When asked about the possibility of military action, he replied, "We will be watching the developments."

Iran warned that it would respond to any aggression from the U.S. On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, speaking on Fox News, said that Donald Trump made a mistake by ordering bombings last June: "If you try to repeat a failed experience, you will meet the same outcome."

According to the U.S.-based human rights organization HRANA, the number of protesters killed so far stands at 2,403, and the number of arrests is at least 18,434.

The organization urged UN member states to recognize the crimes committed by security forces during the protests.
