Iran has issued an official notification - NOTAM, closing its airspace to civilian aircraft. Exceptions are made for international flights that can obtain special permission to enter or exit the country, as reported by the "Russian service of the BBC".

In addition, Iran has activated its Aerospace Forces and air defense systems, putting them on heightened alert.

Against the backdrop of military intervention being considered by U.S. President Donald Trump in response to the suppression of anti-government protests, the Pentagon has begun withdrawing some troops from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

According to official representatives, this step is a preventive measure.

Al Udeid is a strategically important U.S. base in the Middle East, where about 10,000 American military personnel and civilian specialists are permanently stationed.

Iranian authorities have indicated their readiness to strike American military facilities in the event of aggression from the U.S.

According to BBC data, part of the British military contingent is also leaving Al Udeid.

The UK has decided to temporarily close its embassy in Tehran, organizing remote work.

This week, Trump emphasized that the U.S. would take "very tough actions" against Iran if protesters are executed.

On Wednesday, he noted that, according to information from his administration, "killings in Iran are stopping, there are no plans for executions." In response to reporters' questions, Trump indicated that the information came from "very important sources on the other side," and expressed hope for its reliability.

When asked about the possibility of military action, the U.S. president replied: "We will monitor the situation, watch how it develops."

On January 14, two European officials told Reuters that the U.S. might resort to military force against Iran, and this could happen "within the next 24 hours."

An Israeli source also informed Reuters that Trump seems to have made a decision regarding military action against Iran, but the details of the intervention remain unclear.

In response to a possible U.S. attack, Iran stated that it would retaliate. On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reminded on Fox News that Trump made a mistake last June by ordering the bombing of Iran: "If you try to repeat a failed experience, the result will be the same."
