Trump imposes 25% tariffs on countries that cooperate with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump announced the imposition of 25% tariffs on countries that have trade relations with Iran. This statement was made by him on the social network Truth Social.
“Starting today, all nations doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will be burdened with a 25 percent tariff on any transactions with the United States,” his message states. The decree is final and not subject to review.

According to Bloomberg, among Iran's largest trading partners are countries such as India, China, and Turkey.

It was previously reported that the White House and U.S. military are considering various response scenarios to the situation in Iran in light of the protests. President Trump is interested in possible measures, including airstrikes; however, his press secretary Caroline Levitt noted that diplomatic efforts will be the priority option.

According to the latest data, protests are taking place in 585 locations across Iran, covering 186 cities in 31 provinces, and the number of detainees has exceeded 10,000 people.

It is worth noting that Iran has been without internet for more than three days. Mass protests, which began due to the economic crisis and the fall of the national currency, have been ongoing since the end of December 2025.
