The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has signed a new decree under which the U.S. will cease funding and participation in 66 international organizations, including 31 UN entities. This was reported by the White House, specifying that the information is available via a link.

In the official statement, it is emphasized that many of these organizations support radical climate initiatives and global governance, which, according to the administration, contradicts the sovereignty and economic interests of the country.

Although the publication does not provide a complete list of organizations, it notes that American taxpayers have spent "billions" of dollars on their funding, receiving "minimal returns" in return.

The White House press service also reminded that at the beginning of Trump's second term, the U.S. had already withdrawn from a number of international organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Paris Climate Agreement, the UN Human Rights Council, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
