The White House website announced that U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a memorandum stating that the United States is withdrawing from 66 international organizations.

In a statement from the Trump administration, it is emphasized: "Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an order directing the U.S. to withdraw from 66 international organizations that no longer align with our country's interests."

This memorandum requires all government departments and agencies to cease funding and participation in 35 organizations not related to the UN, as well as in 31 UN entities whose activities pose a threat to the national interests, security, economic well-being, or sovereignty of the United States.

The Trump administration noted: "Withdrawing from these organizations will end funding that is provided by taxpayers and U.S. participation in structures that support globalist agendas that are contrary to the priorities of the United States, or that ineffectively address important issues, making it reasonable to redirect taxpayer funds to more important tasks."
