Dozens of countries condemned Israel's recognition of Somaliland's independence

More than 20 Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the African Union and the EU, condemned Israel's actions

Israel's recent decision to recognize the independence of Somaliland has sparked a strong reaction on the international stage. Many countries and organizations have expressed their discontent, claiming that this move violates the territorial integrity of Somalia and contradicts international norms.
In a joint statement signed by the foreign ministers of over 20 Arab and Islamic countries in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), it was noted that Israel's actions create a "dangerous precedent," threatening peace and security in the region. Among the signatories are countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Maldives, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Turkey, and Yemen.
The African Union also voiced its position, emphasizing support for the unity and sovereignty of Somalia.

The European Union called for respect for Somalia's sovereignty and suggested that the parties begin dialogue, but did not explicitly support Israel's recognition.

Some states, such as Pakistan, also expressed their support for Somalia at international forums and promised to advocate for its interests at the UN.

Previously, Israel became the first country to recognize Somaliland as an independent state, which provoked protests from the Somali government and several of its international partners.
