Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the nation via television, urging citizens to take to the streets to "prevent radical groups from distorting the demands of the protesters."

According to the Al Mayadeen television channel, Pezeshkian accused the United States and Israel of attempting to destabilize the situation in Iran during the protests.

He also added that the authorities intend to continue economic reforms to meet the demands expressed by the protesters. The youth were called upon not to participate in the unrest, and the president emphasized that the people would not accept those who attacked mosques.

According to the human rights organization HRANA, at least 544 people have died as a result of the protests in Iran. Among them are 483 protesters, 47 military personnel and law enforcement officers, 1 official, 8 minors, and 5 civilians not participating in the actions.

HRANA also reports information about 579 other fatalities, but this data requires confirmation.

According to the latest information, protests are occurring in 585 locations across 186 cities in Iran (in 31 provinces), and the number of detainees has exceeded 10,000 people.

It is worth noting that the country has been without internet access for over 80 hours. The protests, triggered by the economic crisis and the decline in the value of the local currency, have been ongoing since late December 2025.
