As a result of the attack, 100 people lost their lives, according to Reuters, citing a statement from Minister Cabello.

He characterized the incident as a "treacherous attack," noting that among the victims were young people with no connection to the conflict.

Cabello also reported that President Nicolás Maduro sustained a leg injury during the operation, and his wife, First Lady Cilia Flores, suffered a head injury.

Meanwhile, according to The Washington Post, U.S. authorities estimate the death toll at 75, including both civilians and members of Venezuelan and Cuban security forces. Several U.S. servicemen were also injured in the attack.

In Colombia, reports indicate 32 fatalities resulting from clashes with American military personnel, while Havana claims that the operation was conducted at the request of Venezuela.

Additional information regarding the injuries of Maduro and Flores was provided by CNN. According to their information, during a court hearing in New York on January 5, Flores was seen with bandages on her head, while Maduro had difficulty standing and sitting. Flores's attorney reported a likely severe bruise or rib fracture.

Maduro and Flores were captured and taken to the U.S. as part of Operation "Absolute Resolve," which took place in Venezuela on the night of January 3 and lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes. They have been charged with "narcoterrorism," drug trafficking, and possession of weapons. Venezuelan authorities have deemed the incident a military aggression.
