"Washington is making decisions about the political future of Venezuela and will be actively involved in this process," Trump noted, specifying that he was monitoring the operation from his estate in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
The U.S. president also compared the events to an exciting television show, emphasizing that it was "amazing".
Nicolás Maduro will be held in a "celebrity" prison in New York, where well-known figures such as rapper P. Diddy and Ghislaine Maxwell, associate of producer Epstein, are already located.
The UN Security Council will convene an emergency meeting on January 5 to discuss the U.S. military operation against Venezuela and the arrest of its former president.
