According to the published decision, Delcy Rodríguez, as the executive vice president, is to assume the duties of president in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Venezuela.

It was previously reported that a series of explosions occurred in Caracas on the night of January 3. Global news agencies confirmed that airstrikes took place in the capital of Venezuela. Nicolás Maduro, who previously held the position of president, was arrested by American military forces and taken out of the country, where he awaits trial.
