According to information from CNN, Nicolás Maduro and his wife have been placed in a detention center located in Brooklyn, New York. The published photographs show him in handcuffs and with his eyes closed.

Donald Trump reported that the operation to capture Maduro was planned about four days ago, but its implementation was delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions. The U.S. President also hinted at the possibility of renewed military actions against Venezuela and confirmed the country's readiness for this.

Trump emphasized that Washington cannot allow anyone to take Maduro's place in Venezuela.

“The U.S. will determine the political prospects of Venezuela and actively participate in this process,” he noted, adding that he monitored the operation from his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, describing it as “an amazing show.”

Nicolás Maduro will be held in a "star" prison in New York, where well-known figures such as rapper P. Diddy and Ghislaine Maxwell, associated with producer Epstein, are already located.

The UN Security Council has scheduled an emergency meeting on January 5 to discuss the U.S. military operation against Venezuela and the arrest of the former president of the country.
