Mass protests in Iran. The number of dead has increased to 200 — Time
In Tehran, it has been reported that over 200 bodies have been found in hospitals, most of which died from gunshot wounds.
However, other sources provide different information. According to the Iranian human rights organization Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), at least 65 people have died in the country over the past 13 days, including 50 protesters and 14 security personnel.
Time magazine noted that it is unable to independently verify the accuracy of the reported figures, but added that HRANA only counts those whose identities have been established.
It should be noted that the internet has been down in Iran for over 60 hours. Mass protests, triggered by economic hardships and the devaluation of the national currency, have been ongoing since the end of December 2025.
