
In recent days, unauthorized protests have been observed in several cities in Iran, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As of January 6, 2026, according to official data from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, no cases of injured Kyrgyz citizens have been registered as a result of these actions.
Considering the current situation, the ministry strongly recommends that Kyrgyz citizens temporarily avoid traveling to Iran unless it is related to urgent circumstances.
Those who are already in Iran are advised to:
- exercise special caution and vigilance;
- avoid places with large crowds, as well as demonstrations and protests;
- strictly follow the instructions of local authorities and law enforcement;
- carry identification documents and contact information for the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan;
- closely monitor official messages from local authorities and diplomatic institutions.
The ministry continues to monitor the situation and will inform citizens in case of any changes.
