In Iran, according to reports from the Iranian state broadcasting company, pro-government demonstrations took place against the actions of protesters. The events occurred not only in Tehran but also in several other cities.

Participants in the demonstrations expressed their support for the country's authorities and condemned the recent acts of violence committed by the protesters.

As reported by the Tasnim agency, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian personally attended one of these demonstrations in Tehran.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had previously called on citizens to actively participate in the planned events scheduled for January 12. In their statement, they said: "We urge all segments of the Iranian people to participate en masse and decisively in support of the Iranian authorities."

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, recently claimed that the protesters are acting under the influence of external forces.

The protests began on December 28 after a sharp decline in the national currency and a surge in inflation. Soon, they spread across almost the entire country, and reports indicated that in two western cities, protesters were able to take control. In response, the authorities began strict measures to suppress the protests, leading to an almost complete shutdown of the internet in the country. Preliminary reports indicate that the number of fatalities has exceeded 600, although there has been no official confirmation of this information yet.
