In light of the current situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan strongly advises its citizens to temporarily avoid travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran unless such trips are urgent.
For those who are already in Iran, the Ministry recommends the following:
- maintain heightened vigilance;
- avoid crowded places as well as demonstrations and protests;
- strictly follow the instructions of local authorities and law enforcement agencies;
- carry identification and contact details of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- closely monitor official statements from local authorities and diplomatic missions.
The Ministry continues to closely monitor the situation and will promptly inform citizens of any changes if necessary.
