There are more than 3,000 organized Kazakh tourists in the United Arab Emirates, and over 1,000 in Qatar. Inna Rey, the chairwoman of the "Tourist Support" fund, noted that tourists are provided with accommodation and meals, and the situation is under control. According to her, it is important not to confuse organized tourists with other passengers who are seeking help. "Our tourists are fully protected by the guarantee system and supported by tour operators," she added.
According to Rey, about 200 Kazakhs are in Mecca and Medina. She also pointed out that currently the sky over Saudi Arabia is open, but further prospects remain uncertain. "Repatriation flights are not being discussed at this time," she emphasized.
The chairwoman noted that Kazakh airlines are ready to fulfill their obligations, but the current conditions in the sky make this extremely risky. All tourists with a tour code are fully provided with accommodation and meals at the expense of the fund. As for those Kazakh citizens who traveled to these countries independently, Rey stated that "they can only rely on themselves."
