Currently, about 6,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are in Mecca to perform pilgrimage rituals. This was reported by "Kabar," the Deputy Mufti of the country, Zholdoshbek Abdildaev.

He noted that information about the pilgrims is coming through 46 firms registered to organize trips and their local representatives.

“The situation in Mecca remains calm. However, due to changes in the Middle East, air travel has been temporarily suspended. Some countries are organizing the return of their citizens through diplomatic channels. All flights that were supposed to return via Dubai are currently canceled. Neighboring states have included special insurance deposits in contracts with travel companies for emergency situations. Since this is the first experience of organizing such a process, we have placed obligations on the companies to return the pilgrims,” he explained.

Additionally, Zholdoshbek Abdildaev advised those who planned to perform the minor pilgrimage to postpone their trip until a more peaceful time.

“We urge our citizens in Mecca to remain calm, not to panic, and to follow the instructions of their tour operators and group leaders (ajy bashchy),” added the Deputy Mufti.
