- Martial law and mobilization in Ukraine have been extended until May 4.
- The European Union has officially approved a plan to ban the import of Russian gas by 2027; the decision was made at a meeting of ministers in Brussels, where Slovakia and Hungary opposed it, with the latter planning to appeal to the European Court.
- President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the possibility of a new round of trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the USA on Sunday.
- According to Zelensky's decree, the composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has been updated: new Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal have joined. Former SBU head Vasyl Maliuk has left the NSDC.
- Due to a Russian attack, more than 80% of Kharkiv Oblast, including the city of Kharkiv itself, has been left without electricity.
- In Kryvyi Rih, a Russian drone struck a residential apartment building, fortunately without casualties.
- In Belgorod Oblast, two vehicles were attacked by Ukrainian drones, resulting in two people being injured.
- On Monday night, Ukrainian drones struck Sloviansk-na-Kubani in Krasnodar Krai; local authorities reported debris from drones falling on the territory of two enterprises, while the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the Sloviansk Oil Refinery.
- The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) elected 15 members of the new Platform of Russian Democratic Forces, among them Vladimir Kara-Murza, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Oleg Orlov, Lyubov Sobol, and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, as well as other exiled opposition figures.
- Poland provided Kyiv with 130 generators purchased with funds raised by Polish volunteers.
- As a result of the attack on Kyiv on January 24, two facilities in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra area were damaged.
