The Disaster Medicine Service has been granted the right to provide assistance to the civilian population in peacetime.

The Cabinet of Ministers has made amendments to the resolution dated August 19, 2024, No. 481 "On the establishment of the Emergency Medical Service (Medical Service) under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic." The resolution No. 51, signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, was adopted on January 31, 2026.

This decision is aimed at more effective use of military medical equipment of the Emergency Medical Service and is based on Articles 13 and 17 of the constitutional law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."

According to the new amendments, the Regulations on the Emergency Medical Service now include powers for "providing medical assistance to the civilian population in peacetime using medical vehicles, a mobile hospital, and involving medical personnel as necessary and with prior agreement with the authorized state body in the field of civil protection for conducting medical and sanitary support activities."

Furthermore, the resolution clarifies that the implementation of this document will be carried out within the staffing levels and budgetary funds allocated for the relevant state bodies for the current year.

The resolution comes into effect upon its official publication.
