He noted that the budget amount has doubled compared to 2021, when it was 26 billion soms, not including expenses for the construction of new medical facilities.
"The foundation of the healthcare system remains the strengthening of primary healthcare, as well as the implementation of new screening programs. Last year we started prenatal screening, and now we are transitioning to neonatal screening," Baisalov added.
In addition, according to the deputy chairman, 10 new medical facilities were built in 2022, and the construction of 32 major facilities is currently ongoing, including perinatal centers and the National Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics.
