The deputy requested to repair the canal in the Talas region

During the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 11, 2026, deputy Medina Kairylbekova raised the issue of the condition of the canal in the Talas region. She noted that this section requires repairs due to significant leakage of irrigation water.

According to her, to retain about 60% of the total water volume, it is necessary to concrete the canal.

This statement was responded to by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev, who confirmed that concrete covering will be installed in this section.

At the same time, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic was also discussed regarding preparations for spring field and economic activities for 2026.
